€5170 in donations collected!
Many people supported us and participated in our Fair Friday. Thank you. Thanks to them, We raised €5170 in donations for the Adie association, to support and guide women who wish to start their own businesses. We also wanted to thank everyone who actively shared and supported the movement. We are proud and now convinced that we can mobilize together to make a difference. Next year, we'll do it again!Jade Roller is rethinking Black Fridayto combat overconsumption and gender inequality in entrepreneurship
From Friday, November 26th to Monday, November 29th , and for the second year in a row, Jade Roller is partnering with the Adie and Ma French Box to launch the second edition of Fair Friday, aiming to counter the highly consumerist Black Friday . The main objective: to give it a more ethical and socially responsible dimension.
Jade Roller , which works daily to promote the personal development and well-being of women, will donate 50% of its sales to Adie , supporting initiatives that empower women entrepreneurs. This initiative is particularly meaningful given that only 30% of French sole proprietorships are run by women.
Fair Friday: no promotions, only donations.
It was last year, particularly shaken by the situation of local businesses severely impacted by the Covid-19 crisis, that Jade Roller created the Fair Friday movement, to rethink the act of shopping and reinvent these dark days for the planet. This initiative was a success, as more than 5,000 euros in donations were raised in just a few days.
For this new edition, the French beauty brand wants to go further by bringing together as many brands as possible to support the solidarity and responsible economy.
“Everyone is free to set the percentage they want. As for us, we will donate 50% of our sales,” explains Thibault Nelkin, founder of the Jade Roller .
For its first participation, Ma French Box is committed to donating 15% of its revenue:
“This type of initiative makes a difference and helps to raise consumer awareness. Ma French Box is happy to partner with Jade Roller and Adie , and it’s a way to mobilize to change the world and, more specifically, the lives of women with their purchasing power,” Adie Founder of Ma French Box .
A Fair Friday to make female entrepreneurship more accessible
Starting a business as a woman is a path fraught with obstacles, especially for those in economically and socially vulnerable situations. Indeed, numerous barriers still hinder women's entrepreneurial endeavors, even though entrepreneurship can be a genuine source of freedom, fulfillment, and economic and social inclusion.
“This cause is particularly close to our hearts because we work daily to promote the personal development and well-being of women. Entrepreneurship in France remains predominantly male, with only 30% of French sole proprietorships run by women. Through this joint initiative, Jade Roller hopes to help them realize their business projects ,” concludes Thibault Nelkin.
Specifically, what actions will be taken?
The proceeds from Fair Friday will specifically supportAdie 's initiatives to assist women who wish to start or grow their own businesses. For each donation milestone reached, a specific action will be undertaken, such as training sessions, the opportunity to test products in a pop-up shop, or the organization of awareness events to dismantle stereotypes associated with women's entrepreneurship.
