What is amethyst gua sha?
The amethyst gua sha for the face is a massage tool made of amethyst stone that works on deeper layers of the skin. This skincare tool was once used by Chinese empresses to preserve their youth and healthy skin. A true skin exfoliation tool, it promotes lymphatic drainage, the body's main detoxification system, and contributes to collagen production. Its shape has been specially designed to fit the different areas of the face to sculpt and lift features by addressing skin laxity: double chin, dark circles and/or puffiness, wrinkles, etc. It will have immediate effects: decongesting, helping skincare products penetrate, brightening the complexion for a naturally healthy glow, and long-term effects: unifying the complexion, stimulating collagen production, and reducing wrinkles and fine lines.

Each amethyst gua sha is unique
Our amethyst gua shas are handcrafted by our master artisans from high-quality raw amethyst stones, respecting ancestral traditions. Due to the natural formations of amethyst, each gua sha is unique. This semi-precious stone displays a range of mauve-violet hues streaked with white and may vary slightly from the images, ranging from a light, transparent violet to a very dark, opaque purple. Amethyst obtains its colors from traces of manganese and iron. This does not alter its effects in any way. A gold hallmark bearing the initials “JR” is inscribed on all our gua shas to guarantee their authenticity.
Natural amethyst stone remains cool to the touch and helps to tighten and smooth skin texture. In crystal healing, it symbolizes balance and serenity and helps to soothe inflammation. Regular use of the Amethyst Gua Sha helps to:

For optimal results, on previously cleansed and toned skin, we recommend using your amethyst gua sha 2 to 3 times a week (or more if needed). Similar to a cleanse, facial massage with the amethyst gua sha will purify your skin.
The ritual with the amethyst gua sha:
Start with a clean face and skin prepared with a few drops of the Plumping Gel Serum and oil your skin with a small amount of the Regenerating Face Balm to provide your face with essential active ingredients and facilitate the glide of your gua sha during the massage.
Start at the forehead with the Gua Sha flat on your skin. Make movements from the eyebrows towards the hairline, using gentle yet firm pressure.
Next, move over the cheeks from the bridge of the nose to the ear
Continue along the jawline using the heart shape of the Gua Sha. Make movements from the chin towards the ear. Gently focus under the ear to release tension. This movement is excellent for firming the jawline.
For the eye contour area, massage very gently from the inner corner to the outer corner. The skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive, so be sure to apply light pressure.
On the neck, make lifting movements from the bottom up.
Finish with the neck using upward movements to lift and downward movements to complete lymphatic drainage and eliminate toxins.
During and after the massage, your facial skin may redden. This is perfectly normal; it results from the activation of blood circulation and indicates that you have correctly performed your gua sha massage. However, the repeated movements should remain relatively gentle to avoid irritating the skin.
Note: Each movement should be repeated 3 to 5 times per area of the face.
