What is jade gua sha?
The jade gua sha for the face is a deep tissue massage tool made of semi-precious stone. Historically used by Chinese women to maintain smooth, healthy skin, it deeply stimulates blood circulation, allowing skin cells to regenerate. Its shape, specially designed to follow the contours of the face, helps to firm and lift features. The skin is smoothed, the complexion is instantly rosier and more radiant, for a naturally healthy glow and detoxified skin.
What skin types is the jade gua sha suitable for?
All our gua sha tools have the benefits of sculpting features, firming and toning the skin, brightening the complexion and helping skincare products penetrate.
According to crystal healing, all stones have an affinity with certain skin types or current needs. The jade collection is recommended for combination to oily skin, skin with imperfections, and for skin seeking detoxification and purification. Each jade gua sha is unique
Our jade gua shas are handcrafted from 100% natural semi-precious stone. Following ancient tradition, the stones are hand-cut using water by our master artisans. Due to the natural formations of the stone, each gua sha is unique, and its color may vary slightly from aquamarine to emerald green. This is perfectly normal and does not affect its effectiveness in any way. A gold hallmark bearing the initials “JR” is stamped on all our gua shas for authentication.
Because it is made of natural stone, the jade gua sha remains cool to the touch, helping to tighten and smooth skin texture. In crystal healing, it symbolizes luck and opportunity. The jade gua sha has numerous benefits:

For optimal results, we recommend using it 2 to 3 times a week (or more if needed) on clean skin. Similar to a cleanse, facial massage with the jade gua sha tool will allow the skin to be purified from within.
The ritual with the jade gua sha:
Start with a clean face and skin prepared with a few drops of the Plumping Gel Serum and oil your skin with a small amount of the Regenerating Face Balm to provide your face with essential active ingredients and facilitate the glide of your jade gua sha during the massage.
Keep the Jade Gua Sha flat against your face and start at your forehead. Use gentle but firm pressure to make movements from your eyebrows towards your hairline.
Continue with the cheeks and glide outwards from the crease of the nose to the ear.
Move on to the jawline using the end of the Jade Gua Sha with the hollow of your heart. Start at the chin and work your way up to the ear.
Gently massage the ends of the Jade Gua Sha under the ear to release tension.
For the eye contour, gently glide the Jade Gua Sha from the inner corner of the eye towards the temple. Since this area is very sensitive, it's important to apply light pressure.
Finish with the neck using upward movements to lift and downward movements to complete lymphatic drainage and eliminate toxins.
During and after the massage, your facial skin may redden. This is perfectly normal; it results from the activation of blood circulation and indicates that you have correctly performed your massage with the jade gua sha. However, the repeated movements should remain relatively gentle to avoid irritating the skin.
Note: For optimal results, each movement should be repeated 3 to 5 times per area of the face.
Tip #1: Use suitable skincare products. Boost the effectiveness of your skincare! Before the facial massage, apply a few drops of our Plumping Gel Serum and a little of our Regenerating Face Balm to help the jade gua sha glide smoothly and the skincare products penetrate.
Tip #2: Enhance the decongestant effect. You can place your jade gua sha in the refrigerator before using it for an extra cooling and decongesting effect. For added hygiene, you can store it in our gua sha case.
Tip #3: For better results , use the jade gua sha in conjunction with one of our facial massage rollers and our suitable facial treatments to enhance your skincare routine naturally.
