Gua Sha: the beauty tool to firm the skin
What is gua sha?
The gua sha is a semi-precious stone deep massage tool. Used in the past by Chinese women to maintain smooth and healthy skin, it deeply stimulates blood circulation, allowing skin cells to regenerate. Its shape, specially designed to hug the lines of the face, helps firm and lift the features. The skin is smoothed, the complexion is instantly more rosy and luminous, for a natural healthy glow and detoxified skin.

All our gua sha have the benefits of sculpting the features, firming and toning the skin, illuminating the complexion and making the treatments penetrate.
According to lithotherapy, all stones have an affinity with skin types or current needs. The jade collection is recommended for combination to oily skin, with imperfections, in search of detox and purification. This stone is known for its cooling and purifying benefits for the skin.

Each jade gua sha is unique
Our jade gua sha are handcrafted in a 100% natural semi-precious stone. According to ancestral tradition, the stones are manually cut with water by our master craftsmen. Due to the natural formations of the stone, each gua sha is unique, its color may vary slightly from a watery green to an emerald green. This is completely normal and does not alter its effects. A golden stamp with the initials “JR” is inscribed on all our gua sha in order to authenticate them.
Because it is made of natural stone, the gua sha remains cold on contact with the skin and helps to tighten and smooth the skin texture. In lithotherapy, it symbolizes luck and opportunities. Gua sha has many benefits:

For optimal results, we advise you to use it 2 to 3 times a week (or more if you feel the need) on clean skin. Similar to a purge, facial massage with gua sha will allow the skin to be purified from within.
The ritual with the gua sha:
Start with a clean face and skin prepared with a few drops of the Plumping Gel Serum and oil your skin with a small amount of the Regenerating Face Balm to provide your face with the essential active ingredients and facilitate the glide of your gua sha during the massage.
Keep the Gua Sha flat against the face and start at the forehead. Make movements with gentle but firm pressure starting from the eyebrows towards the hairline.
Continue through the cheeks and glide in an outward motion from the crease of the nose to the ear.
Proceed to the jaw using the end of the Gua Sha with the hollow of the heart. Start at the chin and work your way up to the ear.
Gently massage the ends of the Gua Sha under the ear to release tension.
For the eye area, gently sweep the Gua Sha from the inner corner of the eye towards the temple. Since the area is very sensitive, it is important to apply light pressure.
Finish with the neck with movements from bottom to top to lift and from top to bottom to finish lymphatic drainage and eliminate toxins.
During and after the massage, your facial skin may redden. This phenomenon is completely normal, it results from the activation of the blood circulation and shows that you have correctly carried out your massage with the gua sha. However, repeated movements must remain relatively gentle so as not to irritate the skin.
NB: For optimal results, each movement should be repeated 3 to 5 times per area of the face.
Advice n°1: use appropriate care Boost the effectiveness of your skin care! Before the facial massage, apply a few drops of our Plumping Gel Serum and a little of our Regenerating Face Balm to help the jade gua sha glide smoothly and the treatments penetrate.
Tip #2: Enhance the Decongestant Effect You can put your jade gua sha in your fridge before using it for an extra cooling and decongestant effect. For more hygiene, you can store it in our gua sha case.
